Educational Qualification : Ph.D. degree or its equivalent with first class in the preceding degree in appropriate branch, with consistently good academic record, and commensurate publications/publication potential. All qualifications must be from UGC recognized University / Deemed University or AICTE approved autonomous institutions (wherever applicable). The courses offered by autonomous institutions should be equivalent to the relevant courses approved / recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
Pay Scale for IIM Ranchi Notification 2016 :
- Professor : PB-4 (Rs.37,400 – 67,000) with an Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of Rs.10,000
- Associate Professor : PB-4 (Rs.37,400 – 67,000) with an Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of 9,500
- Assistant Professor : PB-3 (Rs.15,600 – 39,100) with an Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of 8,000
- Assistant Professor on Contract : PB-3 (Rs.15,600 – 39,100) with an Academic Grade Pay (AGP) of 6,000

Indian Institute of Management Ranchi (IIM Ranchi) is an autonomous institution founded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, in July 2010. IIM Ranchi currently offers a two year Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme; a two year Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resources Management (PGDHRM) programme; a full-time Fellow Programme in Management (FPM); and Post Graduate Executive (PGEXP) Programme in Management. From the humble beginnings of only one programme with 44 students in 2010, IIM Ranchi has grown rapidly, both in terms of the number of full-time programmes and student strength (currently around 500 across programmes) in a short span of time.
