Selection Procedure for Assistant Engineer(E), Assistant Manager (HR&A) , Assistant Manager(F&A), Assistant Manager, (Corporate Communication), Jr. Executive (F&A), Jr. Executive (Store), Stenographer, Office Executive, Jr. Engineer(E) Gr.-II, Technician Gr.-III Jobs in West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited ( WBSETCL ) will be made on the basis of performance in Written test and Interview for all posts. Candidates called for Written Test / Interview shall not be entitled to reimbursement of travelling expenses. The Written Test / Interview /Computer Proficiency Test /Stenography Test will be held in Kolkata only.

General, OBC-A/B & Ex-Serviceman(UR / OBC-A & B) candidates are required to apply paying non-refundable Application Fee of Rs. 400/- (Rupees Four Hundred only) for the post under Post Code 1 to 4 and Rs. 250/- (Rupees Two Hundred and Fifty only) for posts under Post Code 5 to 10. SC / ST candidates are exempted from deposition of Application Fees. PWD candidates who intend to apply for the posts under Post Code 5 to 8 are exempted from deposition of Application Fees. All applicable commission levied by the banker is to be remitted by the candidate. The system generated Challan is to be used for depositing money in cash at any SBI branch up to 15:00 hours of 22.02.2016.

About West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited :
Post the Electricity Act 2003, The GoWB divided the erstwhile West Bengal State Electricity Board (WBSEB) into two functionally independent state-owned companies, West Bengal State Electricity Transmission Company Limited (WBSETCL) and West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL), with effect from 01 April 2007. WBSETCL is responsible for transmitting electricity from generating sources to load centres through a transmission network operating at 400kV, 220kV, 132kV and 66kV spread across West Bengal.
