• M.Tech / M.E ( 1st class Degree in Mining / Civil / Mech. Engg ) (or) 1st Class M.Sc ( Geophysics / Engg. Geology / Applied Geophysics / Applied Geology ) (or) Must be a Graduate with ACA/ICWA/SAS qualification (or) Must be a Graduate and be able to type 40 wpm in Hindi.

• Pay Scale for Scientist – I, Finance & Accounts Officer : Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs.5400
• Pay Scale for Scientist – II : Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs.6600
• Pay Scale for Scientist – III : Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs.7600
• Pay Scale for Scientist – IV : Rs.37,400-67,000 + Grade Pay Rs.8700
• Pay Scale for Scientist – V : Rs.37,400-67,000 + Grade Pay Rs.8900
• Pay Scale for Office Assistant : Rs.5,200-20,200) + Grade Pay Rs.2,400
